White Yarrow - Original Watercolor Painting

An original botanical watercolor painting of a white yarrow stem picked from my sister's garden.

This original painting is now sold but the image is still available as a print as well as on note cards and a bookmark.

This simple yet elegant watercolour is painted with Winsor & Newton paint on lovely Arches watercolour paper.

What a pleasure it was to paint the delicate details of this lovely perennial. Achillea millefolium is such a beautiful plant, from its clusters of tiny flowers to its soft and feathery leaves.

I can spend hours and often days on one small painting because of the detailed, delicate way I paint.

I will lightly initial the painting in pencil on the front. I will title, sign and date your painting on its back. I will mail your painting in a sturdy, rigid kraft envelope.

Most often, the colours in your painting will be more delicate than what is likely showing on your monitor.
