This is an original watercolor painting of the coast in Prince Edward Island.

This watercolor painting depicts part of a very beautiful island. In fact, Prince Edward Island is not only an island but also a province on the East Coast of Canada. I suppose my  painting could represent any coastal area, except for that very distinctive red PEI dirt!

This original is painted with professional-grade Winsor and Newton paints on 140 lb. cold-pressed Arches watercolor paper.

Because of the detailed, delicate way I paint, I can spend hours and sometimes days on one small painting.

The paper measures approximately 10 x 7 1/2 inches and the image is approximately 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches. The paper has one deckle edge and three, irregular hand-torn edges.

The title "Prince Edward Island", my signature and the date are in pencil at the bottom of the image.
