Maple Leaves Original Watercolor Painting

This is an original watercolor painting of three maple leaves.

This original painting is sold but my maples leaves image is still available as a print and on note cards.

What a joy to paint maple leaves. There are so many colors in each leaf.  These leaves were gathered on a walk in my neighborhood. Nature studies are one of my favorite types of paintings to do. I love holding each leaf in my hand as I observe and paint its details.

This original is painted with professional-grade Winsor and Newton paints on beautiful, thick Arches 300 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper.

Because of the detailed, delicate way I paint, I can spend hours and sometimes days on one small painting.

I will mail your painting in a sturdy, rigid kraft envelope. The painting will be enclosed in a cello sleeve and protected with extra cardboard. I will initial it on the front and sign and date your painting on its back.

All monitors are different so the colors appearing on your screen may vary slightly from those of the painting. I've included several photos in different light to give you a good sense of the colors. Most often, the colors in your painting will be more delicate than what is probably showing on your screen.
